Terms of Use

The terms that apply when you read this site

Last updated: October 2026

These terms cover your use of AI Regulation & User Privacy. By reading the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.

Information, not advice

Everything published here is general information about AI and data protection rules. It is not legal advice and it does not create a lawyer-client or adviser-client relationship. Regulations turn on facts - where you operate, what you process, which sector you are in - and a general article cannot price that in. Before acting, get advice from a qualified professional in your jurisdiction.

Accuracy and updates

Articles are written from primary sources and reviewed on a schedule, but law moves. A page can be accurate on its update date and outdated the next week, and figures may be approximate where the upstream source is approximate. Nothing here should be your only input for a compliance decision.

Intellectual property

The text, layout, logo and illustrations on this site belong to AI Regulation & User Privacy or its licensors. You may read, print and share links for personal and internal business use. You may not republish whole articles, scrape the site at scale, or use the name and logo in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without written permission. Quotations with a visible link back to the source page are welcome.

Acceptable use

Third-party links and services

Articles link to official and public sources, and advertising and analytics partners operate on the site. We do not control third-party sites, services or ads and are not responsible for their content, policies or availability. Following a link or interacting with a partner is between you and that third party.

Disclaimer of warranties

The site is provided as it is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Regulation & User Privacy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the site. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site - which is none.

Changes

These terms may be updated as the site or the law changes. The revised version applies from the date shown at the top of this page, and continued use means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law applicable at the seat of the publisher, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes rights you have under the consumer or data protection law of your own jurisdiction.
